What to see ? Unquestionably, most of the tourists are attracted by the thousand-year-old Mayan cities. So there is not a real answer to the question.
In the main sites of Chichén Itzá, Ek'Balam, Uxmal, it is worth it to buy, for a few pesos, the small guides, published by the “Instituto Nacional de Antropologia y Historia". You will find them in the stalls in the luxurious hotels in Mérida as well as on the archaeological sites. They include a well documented description of every building, so they would be a good help during the visit and would be a nice souvenir.
