located 5 miles (7.5 km) from the city. Flights with Aeromexico
and low cost companies like VivaAerobús, Interjet, Volaris as well as flights
with American companies and charters from Canada.
Many rental car stalls are located at the airport as well as a post
office, banks and foreign exchange offices. There is no locker.
Transportation from the airport to downtown: $120 by taxi or $90
by colectivo, (for one person).
The city cabs are yellow cars and they charge by
the ride, not the person. Always agree on the price before boarding.
For $5.5, you can ride a bus. There are at every street corner.
The buses with the sign "centro" on the windshield head
downtown. The ones with the sign "Tunel" or "Olas
Altas" go directly to Olas Altas avoiding downtown. The buses
with the sign "Ixtapa", "Las Juntas" and "Las
Palmas" go to the airport.
In this part of Mexico, you will often be harassed
by vendors for condominiums or "time shares".

Bus
The bus station is located 1.2 miles (2 km) north from the airport.
There are lockers ($3 /hour/luggage, open 24/7), a travel agency,
a window for taxis and restaurants. The cost of the ride from downtown
to the bus station by taxi is $100. There are a lot of bus companies

Take the trolley bus (tram) to visit the city. Information at the
tourism office. Departures every day at 10AM from your hotel in
downtown to Marina Vallarta and then the district of Pitillal, the
old city, Mismaloya (visit of a distillery of Tequila),
lunch in a nice restaurant and back to the hotel. Fees: 60US$/person;
30US$/child.

It is a nice airport, small and clean, 45 min from Manzanillo.
No bus but Colectivos (vans) are available to go to the
city (downtown for 329 pesos). Taxis fare from downtown to the airport
: 300 pesos. There are booths Car Rental (Alamo,
Thrifty, Budget, Hertz), Internet and ATM but no locker.
Land transportation
Bus Station : Central de Camioneras, behind the auditorium,
on the eastern part of town,
